A hunter claims to have hunted a giant frog dubbed 'Frogzilla', in a pond on a ranch near Batesville in Texas, the South Texas Hunting Association have revealed.

A Facebook user identified as Marcuz Rangel, who caught a 13 pound bull frog, has taken to the social networking platform and shared photos of his monstrous catch in Batesville, Texas
.
The South Texas Hunting Association who also posted the images on their Facebook page, said; 'Markcuz Rangel - Wanted to share a monster bull frog we got yesterday afternoon at one of our fishing ponds in South texas ranch located in Batesville tx 13lb monster frog!!! #stxha.'
However, many have doubted the authenticity of the photo but a spokesman for the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, Steve Lightfoot, told Chron that the photo is real.
'It's not as bigly as it appears. It's an optical illusion created by extending frog toward the camera - similar to what you see with fishermen holding up fish to make them appear larger. Still a big bullfrog, though,' Lightfoot said.
